We have had a wonderful time with the wild roadshow this afternoon.

We learnt all about the different animal groups and their features.

We saw an african land snail, a snake, and bearded dragon, a millipede, a tarantula and a gheko!

Science/Geography week, by Mrs McGowan

We have a fantastic week investigating life on Antarctica and how animals have adapted to live there.

We answered two key questions:

"How do penguins stay warm?"

and

"How do penguins stay dry?"

We completed two investigations to prove the answers to these questions.

We found out that penguins have a fatty layer called blubber which keeps them warm.

We also found out that their feathers are covered in a waterproof wax to keep them dry.

We have had lots of fun!

We have been working hard studying famous self portraits. We know a self portrait is a picture, painting or sculpture of ourselves. We drew our own self portraits using a variety of drawing pencils.

In RE this week, we have been listening to how God made the world. We worked together to create a prayer focus, after listening to the bible (Gen 1:1-4, 24-26).
