Year 3 Poetry Day
Date: 10th Jul 2019 @ 2:34pm
Today we enjoyed working with Ian, the poet.
We have read lots of poems, including "What's My Name?" by Roger Stevens.
We wrote our own class version using ideas of what makes us happy:
I’m the jam toast brought to you in the early morning,
In your art work, I’m the most delightful drawing,
I’m the loving hug, given to you by your smiling Mum,
On the farm, I’m the horse ride in the warm summer sun,
I’m the funny joke, told to you by your brother,
I’m the thoughtful deeds done for one other,
What do you think of our poem? Hopefully the children have returned home with one to perform for you!
