Our 1st full week in year 2!

What a week!

We have been so busy it has flown by!

In maths we have been concentrating on place value.

We have been completing calculations using our knowledge of place value right up to 999!

We know that all hundreds numbers have 3 digits!

In English we have been thinking about pets.

We have discussed which pets we have or would like to have. We have also talked about animals that would make terrible pets.

Would you like a pet giraffe?

In topic we have begun to find out all about Katie Morag and her life on the Isle of Struay. We looked in great detail at a map... we even used magnifying glasses! We found Grannie's House, High Farm, The Post Office and The Lady Artist's House. We also made an island of our own on the computers!
